1. Check your connection and accounts
Confirm that the PC is connected to the internet. Then verify that Minecraft Launcher and the Microsoft Store app are signed in to the same Microsoft account.
2. Install missing Xbox app dependencies
If the error continues:
- Install the Xbox app and sign in.
- Check whether the app lists missing dependencies and recommends installation actions.
- Install the recommended dependencies.
Minecraft Help lists Xbox Identity Provider, Xbox Live In-Game Experience, and Feedback Hub as examples of dependencies the app may request.
3. Reset the Microsoft Store cache
- Press
Windows + R. - Enter
wsreset.exe. - Select OK or press Enter.
A blank Command Prompt window should open. Microsoft Support says it will close after about ten seconds, after which Microsoft Store will open automatically.
4. Reinstall Minecraft Launcher if needed
The official Minecraft download page provides a Launcher download for Windows 10 and Windows 11. It also says you can install the Launcher through Microsoft Store or reinstall it by downloading it from the Store again.
