How to Temporarily Enable Cheats in an Existing Minecraft Java World
In Minecraft: Java Edition singleplayer, you can temporarily enable commands in a world created without Allow Cheats enabled.

Enable commands for the current session
- Load the world and open the game menu.
- Select Open to LAN.
- Turn Allow Cheats on.
- Select Start LAN World.
You do not need to be connected to a LAN or have another player join. If you are connected to a network, other people on that network may be able to find and join the world.
Opening the world to LAN disables pausing for the session. Quit the world and rejoin it to return to normal singleplayer behavior.
When entering a command in the chat window, put a forward slash (/) before the command.
